JUD WILHITE:: NewSpring Leadership Conference
NewSpring Leadership Conference was September 8, 2011. I’m a little slow on posting my notes. I even toyed with not sharing them, but then I realized, I was given the opportunity to go for a reason beyond myself.
- Ministry can be a roller coaster.

- We must stay grounded.
- God knows the ups and downs.
- My responsibility before God is not a spectacular ministry. It is to have a faithful and sincere heart.
- This helps prevent the inappropriate highs and lows.
- Do a gut check.
- Is your attitude, “I did it on my own….with God”?
- Stay a little crazy for God.
- A friend threw up in walkway area of Caesar’s Palace, and a woman slipped and fell in it. Her two friends went to her and helped her up.
- We have to be ready to get in the mess to help people up and out.
- Risk will feel crazy.
- My crazy won’t be mandatory for others.
- Be compelled by Christ’s love
- Helping others experience the grace that I know is paramount.
- Sometimes ministry is like putting one’s hand to the plow, then holding on for dear life.
- Christ’s love is the only thing that keeps us in the game.
- No more evaluating from a human viewpoint.
- Focus on task of reconciliation
- Not here to point out another’s shortcomings and debt. I’m here to share like Publishers’ Clearing House, “You’ve won the best gift EVER!”
