Tiger Woods Mans Up

Tiger Woods has surprised me. I am so glad to be surprised in this way.

Seems that Mr. Woods has discerned the damage his infidelity has done to his family and his integrity. Rather than brush is aside and babble on with Oprah and Dr. Phil and Larry King and Conan, he’s stepped back from the limelight, asked for privacy and has decided that the most important thing in his life at this moment is his wife and children.  Refreshing after watching the recent Letterman handling of a similar issue.

Thank you, Mr. Woods. You’ve just become an example for handling a bad situation well. Your choice to own up to your choices and your determination to focus on “being a better husband, father, and person” are admirable.  Good for you. My hope is that you will strive to grow in those areas with the same passion and determination that you’ve used in golf. Go get ‘em, Tiger. It will be worth it.
