Ramblings from the Shower?
About a year ago, Jack and I were having dinner out at our favorite little Townsend Restaurant, The Back Porch. After placing our order, he held my hands across the table looking very uncomfortable as if he had something to tell me, and he wasn’t quite sure what my reaction would be.
He said, ”I don’t know what this means, but I feel like in my quiet time, God’s saying you’re supposed to write a book.”
Me: “What’s it supposed to be about?”
Him: “I have no idea.”
Me: “Well, go back and FIND OUT!”
Laughter.
After much thought and prayer, it came to me that for several months in my own quiet time with God, I’d ask a question, discuss things with Him, and come to what I felt was a simple conclusion. Often I thought that someone should share that simplicity. I would even say, “Someone should write a book about that!”
Guess that’s me.
Now the words are committed to a digital file, they have been edited and re-edited and re-thought, and soon, Ramblings from the Shower: Integrity, Faith, and Other Simple yet Slippery Issues will be published.
