Mind Clutter

I've been overloaded. No one's fault but mine. My recently passed schedule (most of which was added to my "normal" schedule):

September 13th – LiveLove in Knoxville – met & served homeless guests. (BLOG POST COMING!)

September 14th – 18th – Regular "normal" work – interrupted by an email saying I'd won a free registration to Innovate '09.

September 16th-18th – Plan trip next week for Innovate '09!

September 17th – meet with some great folks from F.A.I.T.H. Riders from Franklin, Tennessee. My heart opened and brain set in gear for reaching bikers.

September 19th – special dinner with family & friends. A marriage that struggles, a mom who needs encouragement and those who can help them – bring them all together.

September 23rd – travel to South Bend, prepare mentally & physically for Innovate '09

September 24th-25th – drink from the fire hydrant that is Innovate '09. (BLOG POST COMING!)

September 26th – travel home from South Bend — all day. Get home, print items necessary for Sunday services. Collapse into bed. (Walking Atlanta Airport for six hours can be tiring!)

September 27th – catch-up work, start on a new transcript due at the end of the week, read books for review, put out small fires….

And next week, I am blessed to go to Catalyst and drink from that fire hydrant. I have seen pastors and others post what they call a "mind dump" on their blog — maybe that's what I need. Right now, there's so much swirling around up there that thoughts aren't really forming.

One thing I took away from Innovate '09: Kem Meyer mentioned that if one is going to have a blog, one must know the direction and audience one is writing to. I have some thinking to do about this.

So, this week, if you see me and I seem distant or lost or in a daze, don't fear. I'm in a swirl of scripture and worship and learning that is overwhelmingly amazing. I'll be back.
